The Researcher reports to the Manager of Research, Innovation, and Partnerships and is responsible for providing high quality research, analysis, and metrics on a variety of topics pertinent to the Commission’s mandate.

Research themes include: the use and vitality of Indigenous languages; the needs of Indigenous groups with respect to reclaiming, revitalizing and strengthening their languages; the adequacy of funding for Indigenous languages; and the implementation of the Indigenous Languages Act, among others. Research will be used to advance the Commission’s key priorities and overall objectives.

The Senior Policy Analyst reports to the Manager of Policy and Communications and is responsible for providing policy-based initiatives including project design, implementation, and successful management of deliverables across the Policy and Communications portfolio. You will build and maintain relationships and engage with external partners and internally across the organization on policies, programs, and issues related to Indigenous languages

In this role you also lead in the development of briefing materials and correspondence such as agendas, background materials, briefing notes and related content to advance the mandate of the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages.

Job Posting: Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator reports to the Manager of Policy and Communications and leads in the development and implementation of proactive communications strategies, campaigns, and creative storytelling initiatives that uphold the vision and mandate of the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages

In this role you create, edit, and share content that helps to promote Indigenous languages and supports the efforts of Indigenous peoples to reclaim, revitalize, strengthen, and maintain their languages. You are responsible for developing, planning, and delivering a variety of proactive communications products (e.g. key messages, media responses, publications, articles, videos, podcasts, web and social media content, and other content as needed) to a wide variety of audiences including mainstream media, and across the Commissions’ digital platforms and channels. You support the implementation of communication and campaign strategies in collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages operations team and Senior Management, internal and external stakeholders, and the Commissioner and Directors.
